A venture of Providence

Surf the Connections

What Portal is, why it exists, and where to go from here.

Portal is a venture of Providence — and on its own, it's a massive undertaking. The aim: infrastructure engineered to actually get people off Instagram, YouTube, and the rest of the app economy, not just offer a nicer alternative to scroll. Donation-funded. Built in free time, by hand, from the ground up.

What Portal is for

Portal exists to make real, sustainable, coherent connection possible outside the attention economy — and it is built honestly around sustainable, responsible health and wellness, not engagement metrics. No feed optimized to keep you open longer. No algorithm deciding what reaches you. Every portal on this platform is owned by the person running it, the way this one is owned by Jaimee Krist.

Right now, that's a description of where Portal is going, not a platform that exists yet in finished form. What you can actually visit today is the first portal built on it.

Portals currently open

Jaimee Krist's Portal Live

The first portal built on this infrastructure — a self-owned harbor for writing, sound, moving image, and handmade work. Currently the only one.

Requesting your own portal

The capability for anyone to generate their own portal within this platform isn't built yet — that's real, substantial work still ahead. If that's something you'd want when it's ready, say so.

How this venture is riding

Placeholder — not built yet. This will be its own honest ledger, separate from Jaimee Krist's personal waterline, once there's real venture-wide income and cost to show.
