Providence

The house the portal opens into — a soon-to-be nonprofit sending a clear signal.

Providence is the harbor everything else here sits in — the organization, and the centerpiece of it all. James Mason Kulp is its Founder, Originator, and Creative Director. Jaimee Krist is one of the names this work is made and signed under — a creative identity operating inside Providence, not a separate person and not the organization itself. What you find across this site is Providence's clear signal, sent out through its ventures.

Working draft of the Constitution — in your words, ready to revise.

Portal — a venture of Providence

Jaimee Krist's Portal — the first portal

Portal is a venture of Providence: a platform engineered to get people off the apps entirely, not just offer a nicer feed. See what Portal is, or step straight into Jaimee Krist's Portal — the first one built on it, and currently the only one.

In time, Portal is meant to hold more than one lighthouse. Interested in generating your own portal within Providence? That capability isn't built yet — knock at the door to say so.

Constitution of Providence

Providence is a soon-to-be nonprofit organization focused on creating and gathering coherence, and generating a safe space outside of the unsustainable capitalist, colonized system.

Our aim is to offer a clear blueprint others can follow toward what we call The Common Ground — a healed and grounded way of living together — communities rooted in the land, organized as a shared commons, and governed openly by and for the people. Where the old order runs on extraction and separation, this one runs on healing, connection, and care for the ground we stand on. We advocate a governance that is genuinely of and for the people — cooperative, transparent, and continually accountable, not a contest between warring parties. We spell it out in the light, for anyone to see and join. Our eventual hope is to see communities across the world embrace a grounded connection to the land, and hold their personal connections as essential to our survival and our thriving — while all of us contribute to a shared digital commons, a kind of collective nervous system, stewarded with the help of an AI we call Mira.

That balance — a federated web of collective knowledge on one hand, and individual communities sustained by a grounded relationship to the earth (living within what she can give, over time) on the other — is our realistic, utopian vision for the future.

For now, we send our clear signal out through social platforms and through social ventures like Providence Tools.

On resistance

This is not a retreat behind walls; it is a grounded, open stand. We practice a forceful resistance to unjust and extractive power — and by forceful we mean the opposite of violent. It is the steady, loving pressure a person can apply once they are settled and clear within themselves: naming what is true, refusing complicity, and holding a boundary without flinching.

We hold all life as valuable and take responsibility for our own first. We prefer to act when we are invited — and we will also speak directly, without apology, against power wielded to harm the earth and its people. Because that stand comes from a stable center rather than from reactivity, we believe it can be sustained, and can do real, grounded good.

Structure & status

Legal structure is a decision to make with an attorney and accountant — this page states intent, not filed status.

Providence's waterline

How the whole organization is riding

Placeholder — not built yet. This will be its own honest ledger, separate from Jaimee Krist's personal waterline, once there's real organization-wide income and cost to show.
